Management Team

Daniel is responsible for the management of our oil processing facilities.

Nicholas is an important member of the Ghana management team and has extensive Oil Palm experience having led the President’s Special Initiative Oil Palm on behalf of the Government in Volta Region in 2006.

Joseph has been with the company from the beginning and has over 5 years’ experience in accountancy. He has a degree in commerce from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

Joseph has a background in commercial agriculture. His focus is to drive the RSPO certification for the company along with implementing Volta Red’s Health & Safety policies.
Operational Team

Benjamin oversees the production scheduling at the mill and has a detailed understanding of the various procedures required to operate the mill.

Alfred repairs and maintains all of the plant and machinery operated by Volta Red.

Issaka has spent his working life managing projects within the Ghanaian building industry. His experience of a variety of construction techniques means he is ideally suited to the demands of the role

Al Hassan has experience in nursery management along with a deep understanding of the agronomic requirements of palm oil cultivation.

Fred is responsible for maintaining 500 ha and for managing a team of over 50 people. His responsibilities include all aspects relating to the palms such as weeding, pruning, harvesting, disease and insect control as well as the application of fertiliser.

Frank is responsible for maintaining 500 ha and for managing a team of over 50 people. His responsibilities include all aspects relating to the palms such as weeding, pruning, harvesting, disease and insect control as well as the application of fertiliser.

Christian is responsible for maintaining 500 ha and for managing a team of over 50 people. His responsibilities include all aspects relating to the palms such as weeding, pruning, harvesting, disease and insect control as well as the application of fertiliser.

Daniel has spent all his working life in the Ghana oil palm industry. He previously worked for the Ghana Oil Palm Research Institute (OPRI) and he brings valuable experience to the Volta Red team.

Volta Red employs Shirley as the full-time librarian at ‘The Light’ library at the local school where we are sponsoring some of the children via the Volta Red Foundation
